Wine and food connoisseurs are in for an extraordinary taste experience this September as WILDE at The Westbury presents a special evening with founder and co-winemaker of Rathfinny, Mark Driver.
This September 27th, guests are in for one extraordinary evening of exceptional sparkling wines paired with a specially created five-course menu to bring out the delicious flavours of each pour.
The evening will begin with a drinks reception at 7pm, with dinner served at 7.30pm.
Hosted by Rathfinny's founder, Mark Driver and The Doyle Collection's Group Sommelier Philip Dunne, guests will be guided through six vintage sparkling wines, complemented by beautifully prepared dishes from WILDE Executive Chef Sandeep Singh and his team.
A family-owned business Rathfinny only produce ‘vintage’ sparkling wines, and as of 2022, became B-Corp certified, the highest certification available for sustainability. Recognised as an innovator within the English Wine Industry, Rathfinny is one of the pioneering houses of the thriving English Sparkling Wine movement and had a pivotal role in Sussex achieving PDO status in 2022.
Their low-intervention, Traditional Method, vintage Sussex Sparkling wines are a true expression of their terroir. Produced from hand harvested grapes that are whole-bunch pressed and patiently matured, on lees and in bottle to develop rich, autolytic notes, with a low dosage that emphasises the purity of their fruit.
