We are delighted to announce our first Winemaker Dinner of 2025 will be taking place on February 5th. WILDE presents a special evening with fifth-generation winemaker of Cederberg Wines, David Nieuwoudt.
Hosted by David Nieuwoudt and The Doyle Collection's Group Sommelier Philip Dunne, guests will be guided through Cederberg's renowned wines from South Africa, complemented by a beautifully prepared five-course tasting menu by WILDE Executive Chef Sandeep Singh and his team.
Fifth-generation winemaker David Nieuwoudt leads a talented team to produce award-winning wines from high-lying vineyards that flourish in a pure environment. Cederberg Wines is situated in a unique climatic zone that can be described as a cool Mediterranean climate rather than a maritime or coastal one. Furthermore, the farm Dwarsrivier is located at the foot of Sneeuberg Mountain, one of the highest peaks in the Western Cape at 2,026 m above sea level.
At the end of 1996, he moved back to Dwarsrivier, the Nieuwoudt’s family farm in the Cederberg, where he took over the winemaking reins and started on his award-winning trajectory. His key projects include the internationally acclaimed Ghost Corner range, as well as the premium Five Generations wines, the Driehoek range (WO Cederberg) and two wines for the Waitrose Foundation in the UK. David also consults for a Swartland producer, Marras Wines
This extraordinary evening will begin at 7.15pm on February 5th and tickets are priced at €110.
